My First Hat

I took a hat making class back in college and one of the hats I made was a cloche. That's pretty much what started this whole thing. I liked making the hat and really liked the infinite possibilities a blank hood has. I think as I continue to make more, my designs will only continue to mature.

I really wish I knew how to rotate pictures once they're uploaded! Anyway, this one I embroidered (obviously). It was hard to do because I had to draw the design on the inside. Definitely not something that I would have been able to do with a darker hood.

My nephew modeling it again. I think if I did again, I'd keep the brim a little smaller.

The back ... yeah, cut the brim in about half.

I like how the embroidery turned out.

The Arden

Sorry I've been gone for awhile. Life kind of took off, ya know? Anyway, I wanted to post pictures that I have from the Arden hat I made. This was for a 15 year old so I wanted to keep it youthful but still fun. Check it out!

I've started using a label on the inside. I like the pink as my signature color and it has stars too!

The side view. I love how this one turned out and almost didn't want to give it away!

The back. I like the pinning up of the brim. I feel like it gives it a flapper era vibe.

The other side. I definitely keep one side minimal and focus on the other. I think the lace complements it nicely.

And the front with my adorable nephew modeling it for me. I like that the pink ribbon is a little visible.
